How To Set Up The Layout Of The Display In WordPress

If we look at a WordPress blog or site, it is generally the default display has two columns. One column has the look wider, and other narrower columns.

The first column is more commonly used as the width of the content (writing articles), and the second column used for sidebar (where to put the widget).

Well, the good news, the position of this column may actually be change. We can arrange the position of columns content, whether on the left or the right, and vice versa with the widget. Then, how do I set up this WordPress layout? Follow the steps as follows.

1. Click the Appearance menu and select the sub menu Theme Options.
2. Select one of the layouts that are offered at the Default Layout.

  • Content on the Left: the articles presented in the left column.
  • Content on the Right: the articles presented in the column to the right.
  • One-Column sidebar, no: there are no columns, so that part of the article is presented as a whole.
3. Press the Save button.

Select One-Column Sidebar, No indeed makes the articles presented are intact and widened to the side. But if the election themes or templates you less fit, can make the look of your article seemed hollow.

Because in general the look of websites on the internet usually with two columns, one column wider and a narrower columns again.

By default, the widget or the WordPress menu placed on the right. That's because the original WordPress theme since the Twenty Ten, Twenty and Twenty Eleven, Twelve have placed part of the content on the left and the widget on the right. So for this to actually be your right to use the layout like what.

Even if you look at the development of themes-WordPress themes that exist today, lots of variations. But please keep in mind, if you display the content in the right/Content on the Right or the other pattern, then the visitor later will probably need time to adapt.
